Going to step up to a larger caliber. What would you guys recommend in the $1500-$2500 range. Looking for something that would give me consistent hits in the 1000-1700 yard range.

Yes, I am looking for a bigger 7 or .300 something. Problem is the market is full of .308/.260/creedmoor guns. Reason for the post. 7saum would fit the application but lack of brass is turning me off. 28 Nosler even 300 win mag would work. Options are just limited from what I have seen.

Options are kind of limited in that price range but I would watch the classifieds if you aren't in a big hurry.

Bigger question is what is your ammo budget? If 1.00 a round makes you uncomfortable you better stick with 7mm or 30 cal mid weight bullets. The heavy 30 cals and 338s are not cheap to feed. Anything bigger than a 338 is exponentially more expensive.

you looking to kill shit at that distance or just plink targets. makes a big difference. If just targets for fun and or hunting a 300 WSM with 215 hybrids or a 7 saum with 184 Bergers would do both nicely.
