it just hit me that i could use my stevens 200 in 30-06 to build a 300 win mag. just wondering if any has used a stevens 200 to build off of , what can be done to them ? are thay worth a crap to build off of ? it would save me a few bucks not having to buy an action.

Lots of people use the Stevens 200 action as a budget start, same action as the Savage series.
Stuff that works/fits on Savages will carry over for the most part.
