Stevens 200 short action pic?

Hello all, apologies for my ignorance and confusion but I have a newbie question I know you guys can answer for me.

When Stevens first came out there is only one action length, which is long. Basically I believe the first Stevens was the Savage 110 action.

Now there is Stevens short and long actions, but I just went onto Savage's website, and they showed the same picture for both actions, which to me looked like the Savage long actions, so is there a difference between the two, or are all Stevens action still long?

I've read other posts where Stevens short actions are Center feed with bolt spacing of 4.40" just like the Savage short actions, but I can't tell from most Stevens build pics here whether the Stevens shorts are short or long actions.

Long story short, are new Stevens 200 Center feed, 4.40" bolt spacing short actions the same length as the new Savage 10 center feed, 4.40" bolt spacing short actions? Logic says yes but just want to make sure before I start my budget build.

They are the same as the Savage 10 short action 4.4" hole spacing centerfeed. I just completed my own 300 whisper build on a Stevens 200 action using the Choate Tactical Stock built for the Savage 10 centerfeed short action.

It's a Pac-Nor Bull Barrel. 1/7 twist at 17" super match chrome moly. Yes it is still in the white waiting to rust....

I think I will either duracoat it or have it blued not sure which yet. I have not tried 208 amax or 220 or 240 smks yet but the 168 amax at 1890fps are shooting really well. This rifle is a joy to shoot since I HATE recoil.

as much as I'd like to start a build with Surgeon action, I think I'll stick with a Stevens/Savage action and spend the money for a good tube and trigger, chances are good that it will shoot great. Plus with my firearms ADD I will most likely sell it in a few years for something else. Though I don't expect to get much back from a Savage build but not a top priority to me.
