Hi,
I have a Savage Stevens 200 model in .30-06 calibre with a couple of other take off barrels in different calibres.

I also have a spare magnum bolt head for this rifle and a heavy varmint laminate stock.

Now I would like to install the magnum bolt head and get a barrel fitted to this action in 7mm RUM.

Is this a suitable calibre for this action or would you recommend against it? I only plan on single loading and would not use the magazine for this calibre...........Thanks,

Sure, all it takes is a new barrel and bolt head.

I have an action that has been a 223 and a 338 Edge with many stops in between.

So long as you stay with the magnum sized bolt head or smaller, you're good to go.

Thanks Geargrinder,
Looks like I will be swapping over to the spare bolt head and putting in an order for a new 7mm barrel...Interesting times ahead!
