Re: Stiller 25x action

Yeap , Hall make a real nice looking action .

BUT , just try a buy some mag's for it , as it use's expensive Sako Finnfire magazines , the excellent little Finnfire has been out of production for quite a few years now , so getting mags maybe a problem .

Later Chris

+1

I am local in DFW and never got a response from Stiller, yet Mike Bush, d.b.a. UGSW, took the time to meet with several local shooters when he was in DFW a few weeks ago and discuss his new actions and products.

Re: Stiller 25x action

I thought I'd bump this thread to the top to see if anyone has any recent news/updates on the availability of the Stiller 25X actions. Looks like Stiller's site still has no firm ETA, but I figured that maybe folks here might be more "in the know" about the status of this project.

I am driving myself crazy trying to spec out a .22lr trainer custom build with all the "possible" receivers/rifles/projects underway by Stiller, Underground Skunkworks, CDI, etc. with no updates on any of them!!

(Patience never was my strong suit)!

Thanks for any updates/info, fellas!

Re: Stiller 25x action

I was thinking there were a few (test batch?) out there. I've been waiting for something to hit the market that's mag feed 700 footprint. I think Underground is looking to beat Stiller to the market on that. Whoever gets there first gets my money, I couldn't decide on one otherwise. Then off to Benchmark.

+1!!! First to the market...first to get my check!!!

This is my big headache now. I'd love to have this project underway by the end of the year, but I'm gettin' nowhere without a @#$%^& receiver!

Re: Stiller 25x action

we have a 100 of our 22 actions in final build right now. They are called Lonestar. The difference from the 25X to them is the bolt is a true CMP replacement bolt versus our design that has a few changes that make production easier. I am estimating 3 or 4 weeks on them if all goes well. None are repeaters on this run, but we have started narrowing down on magazines. I have a complete mag system coming from marlin I need to check out. My goal is low cost easy to get mags. We built a few of these last year and they worked good and are a proven design. Beware of any new actions that havent. I will be shooting one of our actions at the ARA nationals Labor Day weekend.

I haven't posted in this thread to date because of the title and because I consider myself to be a classy individual. However, due to a desperate post that I believe is designed to sway the population by negativity, and the fact that I'm a sight sponsor and my name and the name of my company has been mentioned here, I find it necessary to do so. My comments are not made from a standpoint of defense, as I feel my products speak for themselves.

As many of you know, the Model 323 action is completed and the first of the protoype rifles have been tested. The Model 323 is a smaller scale repeater and will be available (as a complete rifle) within the next two months. This is an in-house endeavor and the performance during testing has exceeded expectations in every way.

The Model 605 is a full scale repeater that will drop into any Remington 700 stock. This is new technology and wasn't copied from anything to make it easier to manufacture. The magazine systems that will be offered are designed to replicate those used in the centerfire counterparts that you're all already using, making the "trainer" aspect of the platform more realistic. This action is a collaboration between Underground Skunkworks and Defiance Machine.

The popularity of my current line of actions and the success of Defiance Machine speaks for itself here and I can assure you all that you have nothing to "Beware" of. Availability of the Model 605 will not be influenced by comments or schedules of other manufacturers, as it's my goal to offer a superior system, which is what I've been doing for sometime now. I'll continue to offer updates and news about the Model 323 and the Model 605 in my post in the Rimfire section (http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1578671#Post1578671).

Anyone wishing to contact me directly for details can also continue to do so, as I'm always available and responsive to the shooting needs/desires of this community.
