got my tac-30 308 action and when there is no shell in the action and the bolt is cocked you can move the bolt in and out , it's loose, put a shell in it and it is tight. what do you all think? and i am new to custom guns
It has to be loose without a shell in it. If not the handle will bind in the bolt slot. There should be about .010 play without shell in it. with the shell in, it pushes the bolt back.
