Gunsmithing stippled my M&P Shield 40........

I got this itch to stipple my M&P Shield 40 this morning. It turned out great and what difference. I didnt want to get too crazy with it so I did the front and back straps that already had some texture on it from the factory but is still slick. I practiced on some spare AR grips I had laying around first. I got a fine tip soldering iron-wood burning pen and started around the edges doing it in blocked off areas to ensure good, even coverage. Light, quick tapping on the surface. It turned out great and feels great. Like skateboard tape with a little more bite. Just thought I would share this if anyone ever wanted to try it. First picture is the front strap not done and the back just finished.

Nice man, I cant wait to get my hands on a 9 shield or m&p9c. Heard the shield trigger was rather nice, not crazy about the safety though. Neither of my m&ps have safeties, why would I want to carry cocked and locked? Id probably carry condition 0.

Nice stipple job on the Shield.
Go to S&W website and check out the M&P CORE. It sports some new and very nice feeling grip inserts. They are textured just right, IMHO, and are made of what feels like a little softer material. I tried to order a couple but they won't well them as of yet. You'll have to buy a CORE to get them.
BTW, CORE would make a great suppressor host. Notice the higher sights.

Looks great!!! I know some people do not like the thumb safety but I've found it to be very well designed. It is there if you want to use it and doesn't get in the way if you don't.
