What's the consensus on the best stock pack/bag for a budget?
I'm not looking at spending more than 50 dollars unless there's one that incorporates a plastic cheek rest. Any personal observations on why one is better than the other?
I searched and didn't find much
Thanks for the opinions

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

Just from what I have picked up on my short time here: the Eagle probably gets the #1 slot, the problem is everyone is sold out it seems and appearently Eagle is about 6 months or behind on orders. Lots of high praise also for the Tac Ops & SOTech and Triad Tactical bags as well.

Personally I am waiting for Triad to get in some more of his own designed larger sized stock packs.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

Eagle is 24 months behind as of SHOT show. Maybe they have improved that, but who knows.
There are great products out there, but the question to honestly ask, is once you have looked at all their features, which ones meets your tactical needs best?

They are made by Eagle also, if I am not mistaken.

If Steve could get me that lammy suede, I could turn some of them bastards out......hint..hint

I find it interesting that you were corrected and replied to the post correcting you about that and the next day you are pushing it again. Why?

Yep that is correct, they are made specificly for him by eagle is what he told me. I like the idea of the bigger size personally!

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

I really have no tactical needs, it's for fun/hunting and just to prove I can build a nice rifle to myself. I like the idea of the adjustable cheekrest and am considering building one of those but concerned with the idea of that working with the stock bag
Thanks for replies, anyone have any experience with the BALS?

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

I tried to find the Eagle and searched for hours. No joy. So I'm back to pipe insulation and duct tape. Fug it. It works. Looks like ass, though.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

1-I am open to correction.
2-I have no dog in this fight. We offer a great product, and personally I think it is better than Eagle. I own an Eagle, and I like it but ours has evolved.
3-20 weeks or 20 months. Does it really matter? The fact is they were bought out by ATK, who coincidentally also bought out Blackhawk. ATK laid off 300 employees. This DOES affect production, unless you have a transportainer from China sitting out back with a ton of product.
4-I am a big fan of Triad, and support him whenever I can, and if he says 20 weeks, then great. My boss said months. Personally I dont care, as this is not how I make a living. However, what I do care about is my friends getting high quality gear and not having to ghetto rig some third world technology with pipe insulator and duct tape.
If this is not clear, feel free to call me and we can discuss it.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

tac ops makes a great stock pack...i like almost everyone else on the site have tried getting a eagle pack....looked for hours and couldnt find one..so i thought i would settle with the tac ops...its not setteling at all...great stock pack, high quality, and retailers have them...got it for about $42 with tax and shipping....i would recommend buying one

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

Tac Ops is also backordered.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

The TacOps is a great pack. Sucks that it's on backorder. I had the eagle and sold it when I got the tac-ops. Both seem to be quality pieces but the tac-ops has a few little extras that the eagle doesn't.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

Email received and forwarded.
The current stock is....

RBSC-Rifle Butt Stock Carrier-Right Handed
Coyote Brown-14
Black-3
OD-1
Ranger Green-1

They are in stock and ready to ship.
Thanks,

Phil

1. No point correcting you if you simply ignore it
smile.gif
Which is what you did.
2. If you sell a competing products then you do "have a dog in this fight". Going on to say how great your products is over the one which you kept posting incorrect information about shows this
wink.gif

3. Yes, honesty always matters. Accuracy always matters. If you KNOW what you are saying is not correct and then keep saying it there is a problem. You must reasonably have know you were doing this.
Many would wait 20 weeks IF they were getting the product they wanted. Not many would wait 20 months. There is no excuse for misleading people.
4. EDITED after rereading

You KNEW the information you posted was not true and kept posting it.
IF your product is as high a quality as you are saying it should speak for itself.
There should be no need to mislead people or make claims which are simply not accurate.

Re: Stock bag Recommendations

I've got an unused Eagle in OD if anyone wants to drop me a PM....

(Doc1911, thanks for the PM but this means I'd exchange it for cash...not give it away! Sorry if I didn't make that clear

)
