I have a nice BR rifle but the guy I bought it from did a mediocre job with krylon on the stock. I have looked at a local dipping company and for about $80 they will dip it. Any thoughts? Bench rest rifle only. Will not see too much wear and tear like my hunting rifles.

Re: Stock Dipping v. Krylon

I've had one stock dipped and it has held up very well (going on 4 years with no visible scratches or nicks on a hunting rig). I would say it is more durable than spray paint for sure. I would go with the hydro-dip.

This is the guy I used, he is local to where I live.

This is the rifle he did for me, came out great. Fast service at a good price.

I payed $80 for the stock only, which appears to be about the going rate.
