I am new to this site, but enjoy it. I am in need of guidance from long time L/R shooters. I have a Rem .300 W/M that I have used for hunting, which I now want to use for L/R. The gun has a standard 24" sporter barrel, but it shoots 1/2 moa with my handloads. What stock configuration would be best for the gun. I can not see changing out the barrel since it shoots so good, but I want the right system to shoot L/R. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Stock help

I used a McMillan A2 on my M700 .300 win mag Sendero SF and thought the stock was an excellent match for the caliber. It is a bit heavy for hunting, but not too much! You may also want to check out Manners' offerings....both companies have great gear!!! Good luck!

BTW - you might get a little more accurate suggestions with a little more detail about how you plan on employing this rifle....

Re: Stock help

More info. The rifle will be used on occassion for hunting from a stand with bgas or bipods. Other than that it will be used for distance shooting. Again it has a standard 24" sporter barrel.
