I have never owned or shot a custom rifle and I’m having a 6.5 creedmoor being built on an origin action. It is a 22 inch proof research barrel. I’m thinking of either a xlr or krg bravo. I’m trying to keep it fairly light for carrying purpose. I have a X-ray on another rifle and the rear doesn’t seem very comfortable. Doesn’t seem like I settle in on it. I like the wide cheek weld of the mentioned stocks. Any advise or other options would be appreciated.

I have a KRG Bravo and a few Manners/McMillans. I love what you get from the Bravo, for the price. I did add some weight to mine in the hollow part of the stock, but I have zero complaints.
Balance is good however I do find myself wanting a bit more weight in the rear. I also love the grip which makes the "thumbs up" shooting position feel natural. Even though there's not a lot of cheekpiece adjustment, I find it works well for me. I could see how it could be an issue for other shooters though. Overall I think it's a very robust feeling stock and good value for the money.
Depends on how much you wanna spend. I love my Manners stocks. I also have a Gunwerks Magnus stock and it feels/looks amazing. A Gunwerks Clymr would be a sweet lightweight option. Ive also heard good things about AG Composites although I’ve never fondled one myself.
The Bravo ergos feel very similar to a McMillan a5. I got behind a friend's a few weeks ago and was impressed. For the price they seem hard to beat, and on top of that it's a "chassis" so it doesn't require bedding. Tail end felt a little light, but if you're using a proof barrel and want it for a hunting build it might be perfect.
