Stock options for Rem 700 varmint barrel contour?

I just scored a 700 Varmint 308 take off barrel and action and I'll be needing a stock.

I prefer a camo stock, especially a Realtree. Will the XCR stock work with this barrel channel? I'm guessing not. What are my options?

It would look pretty badass with a MCM M40A1 in woodland camo but those are really pricey.

Anyone know where I can find one of the Remington Varmint realtree stocks they come with now at Dick's sporting goods?

You could purchase your stock of choice and send it to be dipped. I sent my to dynamic finishes and it cost $80.00 to dip in multi cam

dipping is always a good idea its cheap and efficient. if the mcm is a little too pricey you may wanna take a gander at the bell and carlson stocks, depending on which one you get some come with an aluminum bedding block. check out stockystocks.com they allso have h-s precision

You could order a B&C stock from them with the camo finish.

Order the BCS 1000, it is their version of the MCM HTG stock.

why are you opposed to using the bottom metal that comes with your remy? did you want a detachable magazing? if thats the case we need more information like how much your willing to spend because you could go as cheap as a generic $200.00 or as expensive as surgeon or badger ord for around $350.00

I stated in the original post that I scored the barreled action. No stock or bottom metal included.

well same question still stands what kind of cash are you looking to throw down? no matter what you decide i would get something that uses aics mags, because theyre reliable and easy to find.
