Noob question here guys and gals, neighbor bought a new TriggerTech diamond trigger to upgrade in his stock Remington 700 action, but it doesn’t have a bolt release. Are those triggers specifically made for custom actions or is there a work around for a bolt release. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response. So we both have zero experience with custom actions, do most of them have a built into the action bolt release? Allowing the use of a trigger with no bolt release?

Most aftermarket actions will have a side bolt release. The work around for a rem 700s bottom release to run the diamond is is to have the side stop added or to forgo it all together or to pick a different trigger that has one.

TT doesn't list the Diamond w/boltstop on their website. I've bought quite a few of their triggers over the past year, and am very pleased with the ones I have on my rifles. I put primary & special triggers on a couple of custom M700s, and have a couple of Diamonds on Vudoo V-22s. Like 'em all, but especially the Diamonds on the V-22s. You should have no trouble selling the Diamond for what you paid for it, and getting a Special to replace it. Hasn't been that long ago that there was a fairly long waiting list for the Diamonds - bet you won't have any problem selling it.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I think he’s going to build a custom gun to match the trigger! Ha kind of like a reloaded buying/building a gun to match the dies he accidentally bought. Thanks all.
