I have a Krieger #4 barrel on a Rem 700 SA with factory recoil lug. This is a recent barreled action purchase that will eventually be put in a pillar bedded McMillan M40A1 HTG stock. I hope to get the stock ordered this week. Curious if there are any off the shelf stocks that will handle the Krieger #4 countour? I would like to shoot this barreled action while I wait for the McMillan. Haven't had much luck finding a bolt on and go stock for this barrel. Thank you for your thoughts.

Since you really want to use a McMillan later, I would try to find a used SPS Varmint stock. Its a cheap, factory plastic stock, but will have clearance for the Remington varmint contour. Its cheap and temporary, but you will be able to shoot the rifle and save some money.
