Stocky's has this bottom metal and claim it fits a standard BDL inlet stock. My question is whether or not this takes AICS mags and whether it's a solid system. Anyone know?

It is a wyatt's mag, not AICS.
They are a decent system, many folks have no issues. As is the case with anything, occasional issues arise. You are, after all, dealing with tolerance variations.
When Les Baer was making a precision bolt gun, they used a wyatts dbm. They felt it was good enough.
