Looked at the various threads, but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

hBN attracts moisture.

So to store coated bullets or loaded rounds, how carried away do you have to get with protecting them against humidity?

Just store in a zip-loc bag? Add desiccants to the bag or military ammo can? Or really not an issue? (Live in Washington, which is called the Evergreen state for a reason!)

After shooting, does the normal oiled patch or two down the barrel provided enough protection, or any special procedure for protecting the barrel if storing the rifle for a few months?

This is the first time I heard HbN attracting water, Moly and Danzic yes, HbN no, either way my experience with HbN suggests its nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the replies.

I have no firsthand experience with hBN, but thought from reading previous posts that moisture might be a problem. There was mention of how the weight of the sack of it was off due to added moisture.

But now thinking more about it, even if it does attract moisture, the incredible thin layer on the coated round would not be able to really soak up any measurable or noticeable amount.
