Strange traveling quesiton

I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this but nothing really fit perfectly.

I'm hoping to take a trip from here in PA to Nebraska with a friend and his wife to visit some mutual friends. I want to bring a couple rifles with. My friend is driving and I am flying because I only can go for a few days. I will be flying out and driving back with him. Can anybody think of any reason that my friend couldn't drive out with my rifles so I don't have to go through the hassle of flying with them?

I know there isn't an issue with ME driving them across state lines, but could there be any issue with HIM driving them across state lines?

I really appreciate any answers to this rather odd question!

The first thing to look into is the laws for each state he will be driving through and if they allow "peaceable journey". Other then that it might be easier for you just to fly with them unless your friend is gun savvy and taking his own guns as well as some states have requirments to notify LEOs if you have a firearm in the vehicle etc.
