Rifle Scopes Stripped NF Zero Stop?

A little background:

1. I've had my NF 2.5-10 (purchased new) for several months and have waited to set the Zero Stop until I was sure I was where I wanted it set.
2. I have 2 other NF ZS scopes and have had no problems with the ZS
3. I have Inch Oz torque drivers, so I know what 4 in lbs is supposed to feel like.

Having said that, I think I've got a stripped Zero Stop. When I started tightening the set screws, two snugged up normally and the other two spun with absolutely no resistance. I obviously can't know if they were stripped from the factory, since this was the first time I've set them.

Has anyone else run into this? The ZS works fine with the two tightened, but I suppose this will require a return to NF. Is that correct?

Thanks,
Mike

Nightforce is taking care of it. I'm extremely pleased and impressed with their customer service.

It sounds like you guys are torquing the shit out of those small set screws and it doesn't take much but NightForce will take care of you.

Not sure how you decided that from my original post. If using a calibrated Inch Oz torque driver set to the specified value constitutes "torquing the shit out of them" then I guess so. Otherwise, I was just following the instructions.
