Sub x 190 released

I have some on back order at midway, I want to push them at 3100 FPS out of my .300 WM just to see what happens when something that big and soft hits a target at that velocity. A water cooler jug should make for a pretty good slow mo video through the phoneskope.

Also plan on testing them out of my 30-06 subsonically for a low noise hunting load since I don’t have a .300 BLK.

I would read hornady specs on that first. I thought I saw a maximum fps for it .

Could damage a suppressor if it comes apart.
It was developed to shoot 900-1100 fps and expand when it finally arrives.

Going to load 100 but think they blew the design when they put a boat tail on it.
My best load is a flat base so far and have tested factory bt from several brands and loaded some.

Running 220 hornady rnfb at 1015 fps crono on a 40 degree rainy day.
Has not gone sonic in 100 degrees.
12.1 cfeblk.

@spife7980 turned me onto that load and is the most accurate sub I have found in 300blk.

How does the cfe compare to Lil gun? Have you tried to run the lighter bullets with it? I just ran out of my stock and want to try something different and if it’s cleaner that’s all the better. My 300 is a 8” and is always suppressed if that makes a difference.

All the subs we have loaded or purchased were 200-220 gr.

Only a few tries with other powders till we got the cfeblk. It fills the 300blk case perfectly for volume, I think that is a good thing.

The 220gr Hornady interlock has a flat base and round nose also a high bc but at sub speed probably not a big thing.

I have been reading that a flat base is better for subs and for short range work in general.

It is a 1moa load in 16 inch bolt gun.

Deleated wrong picture.
I think light bullets not good for subs?

I did some testing with them when they released loaded ammo. I pulled a few, and downloaded them to around 800 fps.
Group at 100 yds.
