Suppressors subsonic tracers through a can

Re: subsonic tracers through a can

Try 'em without the can and see if they light reliably and that they're stable on paper at 100yd. The tracer isn't going to pass anywhere near the heat into the can that regular propellant gasses will.

The damage will come from unstable bullets and/or the residue that tracers can leave that's cruddy. A SS can shouldn't have any trouble with the residue, just make sure you won't be punching new baffle holes.

Re: subsonic tracers through a can

I've put subsonic tracers through my 510 whisper can, no problem unless you think a cockscrew trajectory and large groups are one.

I have never seen a tracer light up anywhere near the muzzle. But this might be an optical illusion.
