Had opportunity last evening to watch PBS's production of Davaid Suchet's ride on the Orient Express.
It was as delightful mix of Suchet in and out of character as Agatha Christie's diminutive Belgian Supersleuth, Hercule Poirot.
My Wife Celia did some concurrent background checking on the Laptop and we determined he (Suchet) was born 20 days earlier than myself, and has had a long term (1976 as opposed to our 1970) marriage. Born in London, a longtime memebr of the Royal Shakespearian Theater, I have been much impressed by his acting style and prowess.
I have a growing collection of the Suchet/Poirot performances on DVD, and look eagerly forwrd to the opening of the new (and final?) season on PBS this Sunday Evening, debuting with Murder on the Orient Express.
I just wanted to give the Brit Mystery lovers amongst us an advance heads up.
