Picked up a Henry Long Ranger in .223/5.56, 16.5” barrel, mag fed, lever action after quite the wait, looking to mount a good LPVO, 1.5-6, illuminated reticle. I have an older SN4 1.5-6 , I’d like something similar in size and quality of glass

Budget?

Reticle preference?
$1k neighborhood, we know how that goes lol. Most likely gonna get a small thermal for it, but til then, and for backup and day use
the SN4 has a crosshair with circle in center, unsure of name, but I like it for quicker shots as well as distance

I think one thing you will want with a Henry rifle is a very large eye box. Unfortunately, larger eye box means heavier weight. First reaction is Razor HD-E 1-6x.
22oz ok, at leas over receiver lol
first Henry, why large eye box? Quicker acquisition? Appreciate any knowledge
