Suggestions for my 300wm

I'm going to start reloading my 300 win mag. I primarily will be using it for Arizona Deer and Elk but would like to stretch out her distance. I've Chosen to use Hornady SST 165 gr.bullets. Any suggestions on a powder. I reload with a Dillon Precision rl 550, and she typically doesn't like cylinder powder. However that doesn't rule them our.

If you have to run it through the measure, H414 and a mag primer. You may need a magnum charge bar.

I have had reasonable success with Ramshot Magnum. Not the very best in accuracy, but accuracy is good with excellent velocity and it meters very well.

You could ditch the Dillon powder measure, weigh your charges and dump through the powder die for cylindrical powders. H1000 works well in my 300wm.

Depending on the distance you want to stretch it to you may want to look at something a little heavier than a 165. I shoot a 200gr ELD-X over H1000 in my 300. Have taken them out to 1700 yds at steel and took 2 deer at 3 and 400 with them last year.

My buddy shoots the 200gr ELD-X over Reloder 26 and gets a little over 3000fps in a 24" barrel.
