Suicide up 38-58% in some states.

One incident in Spain doesn't a epidemic make.
Crossing fish with tomatoes seems like an unusual pairing.
The article states that it was allergens from the fish genetics.
So I would lean towards a shellfish style allergy more than GMO as culprit.

He said no one ever died from a GMO fruit "not one person." A quick google search showed that to be false. Exactly 1 person has quickly died from a GMO fruit. GMO's are not the broad problem.

The lack of micronutrients, magnesium, calcium, fulvic and humid acid in our vegetables is alarming. The rate that we are seeing degradation of the body that is caused by not getting the proper nutrients in people who are fat from processed sugar and grains is epidemic. We are seeing our first generation born and raised on this processed garbage, and the results are not looking promising.

I like to think of this fungal web that exists in our soil as the earths immune system. These mychorizal fungi and chain forming bacterias tie up pathogens and kill soil pests. They store info to make enzymes to break down things they find in the soil to make them into plant available nutrients. On a broader spectrum, most of our soils don't lack nutrients, they lack the life to release them because we have killed them by tilling, spraying, fertilizing, leaving the soil bare, and in some cases sterilizing the soil on purpose.

I would like to see a study done on the spread of round up ready hay, the use of round up, and chronic wasting disease. I know correlation doest equal causation but as we see these crops spread across Colorado, the CWD seems to spread as well.

Absolutely. PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE. Blame the person not the object. Question is how do you get non rational people to understand a rational idea?
It's not that they're irrational, it's that they're politically driven with the agenda of disarming the people so they can enforce their will upon us with no fear of retribution. They want a submissively compliant populace to rule, just like the Brits and Aussies have become.

Google is right at your finger tips. I wasn't calling you ignorant, there are just some things I have learned that I didn't want to know.
You're fucking with us, right? If you're going to cite something, a satire website is not a valid source. Through and through, fake news by definition.

CEC is what you are referencing.
Cation Exchange Capacity.
Micro organisms figure in as well.
Funny enough the lack of some pollutions have made adding sulphur a part of fertilization practices.
Micro nutrients are a standard practice around these parts.
Have 30 plus years in this arena.
If you want to find out how to work with the soil/mother nature try making a living off of it.

Their other stories down the right side of the page was a dead giveaway it was fake when I saw this story and @Lowlight wasn't already on hiatus tracking it down. https://worldnewsdailyreport.com/colorado-hunter-claims-he-was-sexually-assaulted-by-a-sasquatch/

So R, how did the fish allergens, shell or otherwise, get into the tomato? The were 'genetically modified'. thats how, and thats what SCD is talking about. While it may not create an epidemic, consider the part of the article that mentions Brazil nuts. I have that allergy and have a violent reaction to most nuts...and its fairly widespread. I see a tremendous potential for trouble here. Thats not to mention that gmo's dont have the nutritional value of organic foods. Where I first notice this is in the amount I would eat at a meal. Eating organically grown food I find I unconsciously eat less because my body knows its had enough. with non organics I tend to eat a lot more because the body knows that thoughthe stomach may be full the bodie's need has not been satisfied nutritionally. That is not conjecture, its actual experience.

But never the less organic food is better for you.

As I said I just googled the GMO thing and thats what came up. I don't think that is the broader problem, as I said. Adding non-organic fertilizer, micronutrients, pesticides, fungicides{ systemic and foliar}, and non organic sulfur are adding up to huge problems.

I hate to tote anything done in the EU, but they are way ahead of us as far polluting their soil with fertilizers, and seeing the problems they were creating and doing something about it. I don't want to see the government be the one doing something about it here.

No, CEC is not what I am referring to. In fact I could care less about CEC. I am only aware of couple of organic sulfur additives that do not kill microbes. Pollutants from burning diesel are sulfur, but just like the metallic magnesium they are not the ones we want to eat. Growing high brix vegetables is what I do. I test for brix, you probably test for nitrates to make sure your crops are safe to eat. Most my nutrients are bonded and taken up by calcium rather than osmosis. Potassium antagonizes calcium uptake. I use L oriented amino acids for calcium uptake. I fully understand that none of this can be done commercially with the infrastructure that is in place currently.

I am sure you know a lot about farming. I have never met a farmer that didn't. Now knowing about plants, thats more rare. Just like corn fed cows. They are not healthy when they eat the wrong things. When things are not healthy mother nature sends in the clean up crew.

I agree with what you are saying about disarming and such. What I was referring to though was the irrational idea that an object not the person is to blame. That mind set is IRRATIONAL and very hard to overcome with rational non emotional thought.

Do you understand sarcasm? Sorry but funny doesn’t always mean humor. In this case I take funny more as Ridiculous.
He wasn't being sarcastic, he was dead serious using it as proof that GMOs have killed someone, and even reiterated it in a later post, further reinforcing he either didn't realize it was a satire website, or he wanted to perpetuate the lie further.

He said no one ever died from a GMO fruit "not one person." A quick google search showed that to be false. Exactly 1 person has quickly died from a GMO fruit.

Even in the Bear Pit, incorrect or misleading information and lies are frowned upon.

Easy. I read it all. Still read to me like sarcasm. But just me I guess.

Rural states Trump won are seeing the biggest increases.

I think it’s primarily economic with some cultural acceptance mixed in. It’s tragic for families dealing with it.

It is ABSOLUTELY economic, in many cases...because the 'benevolent leaders' are lying through their teeth about the real nature of the US economy.

"Unemployment" is low...(because it only counts people with active unemployment claims, not people who can't find a decent-paying job because their career got outsourced to China. I'm specifically mentioning China, because that's where most of the manufacturing jobs went. Is it only a coincidence that "suicide is up in 'Trump Country', where many manufacturing jobs once were?)

"Inflation is low"...(Because 'the official government farce of CPI statistics doesn't count FOOD and ENERGY costs, which are 2 that affect everybody, on an ongoing basis).

"Jobs are plentiful"...(just not jobs that offer any upward economic mobility for labor category employees. Low-paying wage slave jobs skirt healthcare law requirements by offering reduced hours...so there is a ton of overlap, meaning you have millions of people working 2-3 part time jobs, instead of 1 FT...but hey, 'the government created 3 new jobs.)

We are being lied to, every day, every step of the way.

People get depressed for different reasons, but when you are constantly bombarded with media imagery of "the ideal TV family life", "lifestyles of the rich", and "the latest must-have, 'gotta keep up with the Jones's' crap", and confronted by the realities of your own circumstances (which for most, are far from ideal), it's hard to not be depressed.

For a parent in these times (especially single parents), it's got to be pretty hellacious, to want to do right by your kids, but juggle the tightrope act...since 57% of Americans can't handle a $500 emergency expense without going into debt.

Also consider the depressing-factor that many late-40's to early 60's people are facing...the realization that they may not have enough saved to retire.

I lost my best friend (as a kid) to suicide, and I have nothing but sympathy for anyone who has had to face similar experiences.

I certainly don't think it's all economics-related now, but I think it's a fair bet that a good bit of it is.

Excellent points. I wonder what the age demographic is.

Here it is, middle age. If you scroll down an interesting fact is that by far the highest rate is white s, then Native American. Blacks and Asians are way low.

I have reiterated multiple times that I do not think GMO's are the large problem we have. I simply did a google search and grabbed an article. It showed on several sources and I did not read it. I do not need that article to support my position, and if you read anything I wrote you would see i have no taken a position one way or another on GMO crops. I said our crops are not the safest in the world, and I laid out the reasons why. We compound these problems by over processing everything.

Get off your high horse. This not the first time someone has posted an article they didn't properly vet in the bear pit. Its the bear pit, read at your own risk, and fact check everything.

Dude, there are graphs and studies that say there have been 200 mass shootings since like 1990 and there were only 200 or so from 1900 to 1990. But that's not the point, the point is that this is a stupid fucking argument, it works fine in here because everyone is already pro gun, we know that the media blows these out of proportion but try telling that to someone that isn't pro gun, they'll say that one mass shooting is too many. There are other factors that are involved and we need to start talking about those or we're going to loose the fight.

Funny because school "gun free zones" started in 1990. Due to school violence.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States
deadliest attack in USA was 1927 (bombing)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster
deadliest attack ever was in Russia.

Crazy has been around forever!! And schools are soft targets!
