The Badger is longer, wider, and thicker. The Rem BDL has to be opened up in all directions. I can’t tell you more than that because it's going in another McMillan that was ordered with the proper inlet.
Another plus for the M4 is that I have read it is very easy to switch to the M5 DBM. The inlet’s are very similar. I believe the depth and length are identical, only the width needs to be slightly adjusted. If you run a search it has been discussed before. Personally, I prefer floorplates, but it’s always good to have options.
