In light of all of all the OMG the world is ending, they are going to take my guns, mags, fly swatters, whatever. I am sharing my close held recipe. While I can not advertise it, this mixture has been known to cure a variety of ills including but not limited to; hang over, hang under, shyness, parched throat, lumbago, virginity, stuttering, overly focused eyeballs and other like maladys.

In a gallon jar combine;
64 oz Clamato juice
1/4 tsp Worchestershire
1/4 tsp bitters
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp Bon Appetit or Alpine seasoning salt
1 tsp Tobbasco
1 medium lime,quartered and squeezed
1 tray ice cubes
Combine in jar and shake well. then add 8oz Vodka, shake gently and serve over ice.
Add greenery to suit your taste. Enjoy!! Merry Christmas Steve

Re: Super secret Caesar recipe

While that isn't a bad recipe at all, one may want to play with the ingredient measures a little bit. Depending on their tastes, of course. We prefer about 3x the pepper. Another option would be to use the Mott's "Extra Spicy" Clamato Juice.

And we find, that if any 'greenery' is needed/sought-after, then Dilly-Beans are the best.

Those are full-length green-beens, stacked vertically in a canning jar till it's full, then filled with boiling Pickling Brine, and a 1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper, before sealing.

Throw a couple of them in your Caesar, and you'll have a great New Years libation.

Until you get to the Bourbon, that is.

Merry Christmas, back at'cha

Sean, I posted the basis for a great Caesar, the fine tuning is up to the individual. Now as to the Bourbon...... Substitute Bourbon for the Vodka. Vodka adds little to no flavour. Bourbon on the other hand adds a LOT!!!
The dillys are good, pickled asparagus is not to be ignored though.

Ruin good bourbon by mixing with other than ice???? Heresy! Sacrilege!(I might try it with a lesser quality like Wild Turkey 81)

My recommendation to a slight addition would be to add some celery seed(2t) and allow the mixture to steep and marry for 24 hours before straining into the ice tray. I would also recommend using a better pepper sauce than Tobasco. Tobasco is so one dimensional it really isn't a good ingredient for anything but heat. a nif yur makn earey mrnin drunks i wlsd mabe add somestrnger stff thn ol cheep vdca!

Re: Super secret Caesar recipe

I'd of bet my last fourteen cents that the whisper of Bourbon would elict a response from Switchblade. Note I NEVER mentioned good Bourbon!!! I'll not be using Blantons,Four Roses small batch, Van W's,Bulleit, nor for that matter even JD single barrel. I try to avoid sacriledge.
I will try the celery seed, sounds interesting but 24 hours of preplanning could be rough. On a side note my bride infused some vodka with a whole dried Habanero. Now that my friends brought a bit of authority to the mixture. Very clean heat and notable flavor.

HA!

I never in my wildest (whatevers) would think of putting Bourbon with anything but a bit of branch water. And even that, is rare AND sparingly enough.

Just got home, picked up some Irish Whiskey, gonna whip up our own recipe for Irish Cream. There's some good ones out there, but beware, there are some bad ones too.

Merry Christmas!
