I just received my first mil/mil scope, a SWFA Variable SS. It seems like an awesome scope, but I have only just taken it out of the box to play around with, havn't mounted it yet.

I have one question though. I switched the preferences on my iPod's Bullet Flight program to metric/mRad, and I am a bit confused. For a given range, it lists bullet drop in mRads and requied clicks. For example for 500 yards is lists -3.0 mRad, requiring 41 clicks. If I understatd the concept correctly, 30 .1mil clicks would make the 30 mRad adjustment.

I believe the clicks displayed by Bullet Flight are still given in 1/4 moa, and I should make the adjustments based off mRad x 10. Is this correct?

Re: Super Sniper Variable and Bullet Flight

Yes, 3 mils = 30x .1 mil clicks.

You really shouldn't think in terms of 30 clicks though.

3 mils, dial that sucker right to "3" on your elevation knob.

3.2 mils = dial to "3", plus 2 more clicks.

Don't count 30 clicks or you'll go mad :p
