you and your google, still you never watched it because it aint animated nor does it have CGI

Nah, I knew about the movie because it's fucking Steve McQueen for God's sake! One of the coolest guys ever in Hollywood. I didn't use Google, but did use IMDB to remind myself what year it was made and was confused why I couldn't find it then remembered the odd spelling and found it.

The French Connection had a decent chase scene too.

And that was right in my old childhood neighborhood of Bensonhurst too. Right under the D subway line. That chase scene went from the Fort Hamilton Parkway station right to Bay Parkway.

Directly under the 72nd Street station is DF Brothers, one of 4 gun stores in metropolitan NYC that caters to civilians. I knew the owner for a very long time and still go there to visit. A few years ago, a robber Maced him and then broke the counter with a sledgehammer and tried to get the handguns displayed underneath the glass. Despite having taken a faceful of OC spray and being menaced with a big ass hammer, he drew his concealed carry pistol and shot the robber in the shoulder, who fled empty-handed, leaving a blood trail right to his getaway car. Old school Brooklyn Italians......You simply do not fuck with them. They are just as tough as Midwestern farmers when it comes to protecting what belongs to them.

It is one of the finest movies ever... and Super Troopers II is pretty awesome, too!

I don't care who you are... it's funny stuff.

FYI, the movie is played at the academy here... because the movie was MADE... because a VT Trooper was such an a$$ to the movie-writer Chacksandra (did I spell that right?) during a traffic stop... that he went home and wrote the movie script. So the movie is played to remind cadets what can/will happen to you (and your agency) if you are an a$$!

Of course, we can't forget to mention The Choirboys (anything by Wambaugh is amazing) as a great funny cop film.

And Serpico. Which would be sad if not so true.

But Super Troopers never disappoints. At so many levels.

Cheers,

Sirhr
