My reloading room
Wondering if anyone had used superformance powder in their 338edge or lapua.
Not sure if pressure would be to much. It does look to have similar burn rates as other powders
I have 12 lbs of it and can’t find anything to load 338 edge with.

Hodgdon has load data for H414 in the .338 RUM (similar to Edge), and .338 Lapua which is an equally dense ball powder, but a lot faster burn rate. I don't see why you couldn't use Duperformance. In my experience, Duper's a little slower than H4831sc at the same charge weight in heavy-for-calibler applications.

I'd probably stick to lighter projectiles and use slightly reduced H4831sc starting data and work up. There's going to be a lot of extra space in the case though, so probably not ideal. A lot of the original published load data were compressed loads at 60,000psi or more. It might not like low-case-fill charges at lower pressures.
