Planning on building a 22 BR as a dual role gun; mainly predator rifle and backup match rifle. The caliber is really intriguing me. Couple questions, how short of a barrel can I go to run my can, yet still maintain good velocity? Also, what twist should I be looking at to run the new 88 eld?
Any experience/insight with the caliber would also be welcome. Thanks guys!

I have a 22 inch 22 BR barrel on my Bighorn T3 and am very happy. I am using a Thunderbeast Ultra 7 6.5 can.

I would get a 8 twist so you can run pretty much anything up to 80-82 gns.

Be sure your gunsmith uses a reamer comparable with what you want. I said I wanted a no-turn neck chamber and I didn't want to trim back my brass. I have to do both. Its a one time pain in the ass, but it is still a pain.

In process of building a 16.5"(as of now) 22br for the same general idea as you. Have the Brux 1-8 ordered, Borden Mountaineer with a trigger tech, got to decode on bottom metal and stock. Stock???

Rule of thumb, always go more twist with shorter barrels since velocity will be lower.
