I have a few AR's that I occaisionally shoot suppressed. They work fine with the standard buffers. However, I do not want to put undo stress on the action or bolt. Any suggestions or helpful comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Suppressed AR15, Heavy Buffers????

I run Clint Butler's (aka - Slash) heavy buffers in most of my ARs, but especially those that see use with suppressors. The extra buffer weight really helps to settle things down a good bit, reduces wear/tear on components, and lessens perceived recoil (especially when used in combination with Wolff XP buffer springs and an adjustable gas block).

Here is a link to the site I'm referring to:

If you have any questions/concerns, give Clint a shout via e-mail or phone. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all things AR, but particularly with respect to his products and their use across a huge variety of platforms.
