So I recently got my first suppressor, a GemTech One, out of jail. When originally purchased I intended to use it on a couple AR's and a 6.5 Grendel bolt gun. I decided on it because at the time I figured it was a well rounded suppressor that would be descent in several applications. Fast forward and I've began shooting some local PRS style rifle matches and thought it'd be nice to use the can at matches. I put the thread on adapter in the base of the suppressor and properly torqued to manufacturers spec. I'm shooting a Bartlein barrel chambered in 260 Rem on an Impact action that shoots lights out with an APA Little Bastard muzzle brake. For the life of me I can't get the Suppressor to group well. I've tested powder charges and seating depths until I've essentially thrown my hands up. Essentially the rifle will shoot sub .5" groups with the brake on but with the suppressor jumps to 1"-1.5" groups at 100 yards. Seeing that this is my first suppressor and I'm not at all versed like some are I figured I'd ask if this suppressor isn't really cut out for precision rifle accuracy or if anyone else has ever had the same problem with a GemTech One. Any feedback would be appreciated. Side note: I've already purchased a Thunder Beast Ultra 7 several months ago and I'm currently waiting on it to get out of jail.

Yes. The threaded adapter that goes on the back of the suppressor is 5/8x24. Same as the Bartlein barrel I’ve been using it on. Grendel bolt gun is the same as well. Both rifles shoot bug holes until you add suppressor. With suppressor groups open up to an inch or better.

I get what you’re saying now and honestly I’m not sure. I’ve come to the conclusion that I will only use this for it’s original purpose and run it as a quick attach suppressor on a couple AR’s. I’m going back to my muzzle brake until I get my stamp in on my Ultra 7.
