I've seen pictures of supressed rifles whre the can has some type of cover on it. What are these and what are they for?

The keep the heat signature from giving you a "mirage" in the scope.
TAB makes them and now Elite Iron has come out with their own line. They say ELITE IRON on them but they may make a version in which its not on the cover.

SAS3 can be easily slid back on the barrel to let the can cool. Then slid forward over the can to resume shooting.
