Suppressors Suppressor transfer

Re: Suppressor transfer

$100 is steep, not uncommon, but it's at the high side, I personally charge $50 also.... but it's still a "puuting up w/ you" fee... J/K...seriously, how else do you suppose we make money?... "yeah, buy it from some guy in another state and I'll do the transfer for free"... quick way to go broke

Re: Suppressor transfer

i wouldnt mind paying 50 but 100 seems like a rip off... and if my dealers around the area would not have the products listed over 150 more than what most places online then i would be happy to do business with them ha

Re: Suppressor transfer

you do realize that M3... Major Malfunction Munitions... is a distributor right... he'll sell a can in Oklahoma, as of now, but his main business is selling to dealers... he has some of the best prices in the nation

Re: Suppressor transfer

see, that's the problem w/ guys looking on the internet... they see a price and then don't have any idea why they can't get something for that... well Mr., first we have to pay to have it shipped here, then we have to pay our bills, and if you don't care if my bills are paid, let's see how you like either not having a dealer available at all, or having to drive 100mi to get to one.....

the only way you save much buying on the internet is if you have a buddy that will do transfers for free... my mark up averages around 15%.... 15%... do the math on that on a gun that costs you $500, I might make $75... and I've had my $$$ tied up in it for weeks, or months... and I still have to pay the light bill

Re: Suppressor transfer

A guy local here told me a Racine dealer wanted to charge $175.

We used to charge $50 and more recently don't try to do transfers other than of our own products (which of course transfer at no charge).

I think $75 is reasonable for a storefront business, $125 is the upper limit of sane.

When a shop wants to charge $175 for a suppressor transfer, that is an indicator that something else is seriously wrong (like they can't make it in life and want to ransack you their only customer to stay afloat).

I recommend SilencedAmerica...what I paid is what I paid, but did not pay a specific transfer fee.
