The SureFire adaptors that thread onto your barrel come in different thread sizes for the 5.56 and 7.62. Question, will the suppressor fit on both adaptors ? I'm talking about the standard 5.56 and semi-auto 7.62 units . In other words, is the can set up to utilize the same locking system on either adaptor. This would translate into using a 7.62 can on a 5.56 adadptor .

No, the adaptors are different, the cans will not interchange on the adaptors. One could perhaps thread a 5.56 barrel to the 7.62 adapter thread pattern and install the 7.62 adapter.
