Surefire Brake on .308 Rem 700 SPSVar

Hey guys,

I am looking to add a surefire brake to my Rem700 SPSVarmint in 308. In looking at all of surefire's models it appears the ones that fit the varmint contour barrel are the 338LM caliber brakes. Will using one of the 338LM brakes have any negative side affects when used on a 308?

You will want to use the 7.62 brake. You will need to have some material turned down so the brake fits over the barrel. No big deal, it's done all the time. J
