Surefire Can/Mount on SPR build.

I will be purchasing a Noveske 18" barrel in 5.56 shortly. I have a Surefire 762SS suppressor on order and want to run it on both guns.

I've searched and found my answer but wasn't clear on it.

Garin Lee of Surefire stated in another thread the 556AR mount will not work with the 762SS suppressor but then stated Surefire was going to make some 308 mounts with the 1/2x28 threads which is what the Noveske barrel has.

I'm still confused and just need someone to tell me what mount I need to buy for my 762SS supressor to fit on my Noveske barrel.

[Hey guys sorry about the delay. I have been out for some time. Here is the skinny on the 762SS and the MB556AR adapter issue. When this question first came up it the combo was not on my combatable chart so I did ask Barry Dueck if that was a option. Green light was given. I did not hear of any issues until recently. A customer sent back a MB556AR so I checked it out and it would not properly lock in the 762SS timing gage. The issue stems from a oversight that both of us missed is the 762SS back section rear bearing surface is at a shallower angle than the steeper angle on the MB556AR not allowing the FA762SS to properly work with the adapter in all applications. The reason is the FA762SS ring/lock bar most likely will be under timed on the MB556AR thus running out of teeth on the locking bar, resulting in a loose suppressor on the adapter. Due to our recent findings we at SureFire cannot recommend this suppressor/adapter application. We have decided to make a few special adapters with 1/2x28/762SS profile for those customers that did make a purchase of a FA762SS and a MB556AR due to my previous information. I apologize for any confusion. I hate making mistakes but we will correct them. If you do have any issues on this application please contact me.]

I talked to Barry about this and we have decided to make a FA762SS adapter with a 1/2x28 thread a normal production item for you guys needing to run this suppressor on a 5.56. The brake will be designed for the recoil of the 5.56 but have the right shoulder for timing on the 762 SS suppressor. We will keep you guys running in the right direction and never meant to get anyone off course.

The mounts are in production but we are currently backordered. The mount you need is the MB556SSN-1/2-28. It is not on the website but if you call they can take your order.

Chucky, thanks that's good and bad to hear. Do you have a round about as to when I may receive mine if I order Monday? I guess I don't have a choice, I'll have to wait if I want to run my suppressor, I just hope it doesn't take 6+ months.

Don't mean to jack the thread but is this the Chuck Vlasek that was in 3/1 STA with me, Shep and Fish?
