SureFire M3LT

Re: SureFire M3LT

I have one and love it. This thing throws a beam like you would not believe. The 2 stage with a high and low is really nice also in my opinion. On low it is 70 lumens and high it is 400 lumens. I have been waiting a long time to get one of these for my rep kit and after testing this light it more than meets my expectations. I will try to take some pics of the beam in my backyard tonight.

Re: SureFire M3LT

I went out with my girlfriend last night so I will get pics tonight and hopefully get them up tonight or tomorrow morning. This light is bright.

Yes, how does the throw compare with a TurboHead incandescent?

Up to now, I haven't seen any LED that I would prefer for long range (175+ yards) in variable climate conditions.
Even if the LED or multiple LED configurations give as much illumination as a TurboHead, the "backscatter" "glare" "reflection", or whatever you want it call, makes them far less desirable, at least in my admittedly limited experience.

Re: SureFire M3LT

Okay so I took some pics in my backyard and I am terrible at night shots with my point and shoot. The M3LT has just as much throw at the M6 with the 250 lumen bulb but I don't consider that a fair comparison seeing M3LT is a lot brighter. The one thing I will say is the M3LT has a much nicer beam pattern compared to the M6 because it doesn't have that spherical shape to it.

If anyone has some tricks to using a point and shoot to take night pics shoot me a pm. I am using a canon SD1100 IS with no luck.
