Surefire Question

Re: Surefire Question

Call 1-800-828-8809 and ask to talk to tech support. They can talk to you over the phone and give you a RMA if necessary.

Re: Surefire Question

Search Surefire over the last 3 months there was a post I read that told how to test the light without the switch. Stated if the test worked then the switch was bad.

Re: Surefire Question

that it is easy...
first check if there is battery ratlling (up and down)...if no proceed next.
remove the tailcap assembly...
insert new batts
make a contact between battery butt (the - pole) and the flashlight body (bare metal only, anodizing is not conductive) a peperclip will do..I use wire awiht connectors froma nother testing kit
if you have light the switch is the culprit...

sorry but for weaponlights I do not know how to troubleshoot more...

best of luck, kostas

Re: Surefire Question

or you can do like i did and cut open the pressure switch, looking for a short and testing the circuit, only to find that the problem was actually in the battery housing. needed a shim between the base cap and the contact board.then had to use some melt tube to recover everything.
