Suppressors Surefire Suppressors: SOCOM vs Legacy??

Can anyone tell me the difference here? I'm assuming that since the Legacy Suppressors are prior-Gen models they will go away at some point?

BUT, the Legacy's are more expensive across the board?

I'm looking at getting a FH/QD mount for my bolt rifle build but I'm worried the "Pronged" FH's will have that annoying "PING" so I like the Legacy FH's better.

Can anyone shed some light?
