Surefire Warden noise

I realize SOCOM ditched the Warcomp for the flash hider (I guess because of how loud it is), but does the quick connect Warden reduce the noise at all, or does it only divert the gas forward, but just as loud?

Also, is there a consensus that even on a 14.5, the Warcomp is "too loud"? Or is this just with MK18?

It's one of those "smartly written" NFA laws I guess...

If a serialized receiver is shipped with a 10" barrel and a muzzle brake installed and I swap it for 16" barrel and with flash hider...

I just installed one on a 12.5" POF Revolution in 308, previously if you were standing anywhere but behind the shooter, you would get a pretty good thump. With the Warden installed, all that is eliminated, it all goes down range, I think it's actually louder, noticed no POI shift.
