I've got a switch barrel rifle with a 592 and xlr coming.
Anyone use the surgeon action wrench with thier switch barrel rifles?
Does it enter from the back of the action or does it need to be entered near the recoil lug?
Can the action still reside in the chassis while changing the barrel?

Re: Surgeon action wrench questions

I use the Surgeon wrench on my switch barrel rifles. Good product. Enters through the loading port. Don't know about stock clearance on the XLR. Mine are Sendero contours and I pull the action. Hope this helps.

Re: Surgeon action wrench questions

Yes you will Have to pull the action out of the chassis to change barrels. Like bolt filter said the wrench goes through the port.
