I'm sure this has been talked about Before, but I've googled and can't find what I want to know. I know a lot of the guys on here are very knowledgeable.
Anyhow I have 2 surgeons and 2 defiance actions, I have a couple extra barrels for my defiance and one for my surgeons. Will the surgeon action wrench work on my defiance. Before I buy only the surgeon wrench.

I can't 100% answer your main question, but i think yes. When i was shopping for action wrenches, i was steered away from the surgeon. Bought a Holland instead. Much more rigid, and a lot more surface area where the wrench contacts the receiver.

You might want to check out the Kelbly Action Wrench. I bought mine in September of 2015 for $60.95 from PMA Tool. It looks like they wised up and the price is now $95.95. You should also check Kelbly's for it and their price. It is two piece and has a dog leg on the section that goes into the action and is quite nice. I would buy it again.
