Surgeon/ AICS?

Would I need to do any mods to an aics stock to fit a surgeon 591 action or should it drop right in? Anyone got any pics

I have a 1.5 and a 2.0 and both drop in. I believe some older AICS stocks needed the recoil lug slot opened up. I'm not expert though.

Older AICS chassis will need recoil lug area opened up. The bolt handle slot also needs to be milled so that it will allow the rounded bolt handle to go all the way down. I have two AICS 2.0 chassis at Surgeon now being modified

Old thread I know. But what about the side bolt release? Does it fit without a problem?

Yes, the side bolt release clears fine.
