surgeon remedy XL .338 Lapua First load

First load H1000 90.5 gr. 300 grain scenar, Lapua Brass, federal gold medal match primers 215M. 2777 fps, one hole . Free recoil. What should I try next ? Retumbo or Reloder 33 ? Looking for 2800 fps. I can't believe how easy this rifle is to load for so far Very slight brass flow ..very slight !

I got 2808 using H-1000 and a 300gr Scenar in a Surgeon XL .338 What is your barrel length, and measured COAL? Kreiger recommends a .015 +- jump.

Shoot 150 more rounds down the gun and it will speed up to your 2800 fps.

Just shoot the load you found. Your chronograph is probably off enough that it could be +/- 25 FPS. Who gives a shit about 2800 FPS anyway. It is completely meaningless.

My chamber is mil spec and uses a considerably shorter COAL. Add a suppressor and get the 25 you are looking for. Or just shoot the bugger as you have nailed it.
