Surprised at my new DPMS Panther LR 308

Just got it this week. Surprised at the accuracy from this semi auto. So far I have taken it out to 800 yards and have been getting average 5 shot groups at about 1.5 MOA (1-2 MOA). I have a few just under 1 MOA. Got a Vortex 2.5-10x44 Viper PST Scope mounted on it. Got 150 rounds down the pipe, and like it so far.

Just have to say I am very happy with these results considering the platform of this rifle. This possibly could be a hunting rifle for me. Just a little front end heavy though. My first semi auto hunting rifle that is.

I have the same gun in 260 so does a friend of mine and they both shoot dead stock out of the box 1moa, some loads closer to .75 moa. You might find it shoots even better if you go to a higher power scope. Glad it shoots good.

I might could do a little better with a higher power scope, but my intention was for practical hunting and defense, so I like a lower power scope for that purpose. Heck I am very satisfied. I am sure with the 2.5x10 that I could get sub moa at 200-400 yards with this rifle most of the time. I was just pushing it to 800 to see what I could do.
