Suunto EON

I know the Suunto EON is kind of off topic in regards to "Equipment" but does anyone have one?
I have a few questions for someone that has one.

I use the Suunto Zoop, it does everything I need. I have been using it for three years now after my sixth air integrated oceanic crapped out on me. It has been very reliable and in three years with just over 250 dives averaging over 60 minutes I have not even had to change the Battery.

So I like the Suunto a lot, I have been on the boat with a few guys who have had EON's too be honest it seemed to me like they spent a lot of time playing with with the buttons. I just look at the Zoop when I want to know where to start my deco, or how long I have until I go into deco.

For me I would not want to fart around recharging the battery every couple of weeks, and I have had to many problems with air integrated computers. Then I have a decent air consumption rate so it is pretty easy just to keep awareness through the pressure gauge. The display on the eon is beautiful, and if you are looking for a gadget to tinker with this is a nice one. If you just want to dive get a zoop and learn your surface cubic feet per minute air consumption rate then use the zoop with a pressure gauge and you will be just as safe and have more time to look what you are diving too see.

I don't know what operating system, but they do put a manual online that should answer most relevant questions.

How many dives do you have?
Where do you mostly dive?

I'm running a Traverse Alpha (when not at work ). No complaints here, and the battery charge seems to last a few weeks if the GPS is not used a lot. It charges fairly quickly as well (not iPhone quick, but not so slow that it is annoying).

My only complaint is changing the time zone. When traveling, it's a pain, since it requires you to engage the GPS to derive the time change. Which can be hard when you're in a shielded building, awaiting your next flight.

Other than that, like Garmin, they have the updates, sync and app integration down pretty well (goes pretty seamless without a lot of muss and fuss or frustration).

Edit: Just went and looked up the Eon; holey crikey! That looks like some serious compute power strapped to your wrist. The only thing that flagged my attention was the recommended operating temperature (32*F-115*F).
