Rifle Scopes Swarovski plex reticle???

Have a chance to buy a used 3-10x42 z3 with the plex reticle. I know nothing about Swarovski reticles and am wondering if it is not a good choice for me.

It is going on a 300 blk AR and will be used for deer hunting in wooded areas in the early morning and late afternoon/evening.

How bad am I going to hate this reticle if I decide to buy it?

I had a Swaro 6-18x50mm with a plex reticle and really liked it for punching paper. Used it a kill a few coyotes and a groundhog or two with no complaints. The crispness of the glass and reticle were top notch!

Thanks. Ended up picking it up and taking it out back tonight. Glass was very good but lost the reticle at 40 min after sunset. We can hunt deer here 1 hour before and 1 hour after sunrise/sunset so reticles are important.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier.. but your experience matches mine. You would be better served with a #4 or a well done illuminated reticle.

Called today and it is $170 to swap reticles. Is the 4a worth it? The illustrated reticles for Swarovski make the heavy bars look the same except the one at 12 o'clock. Trying to decide to swap reticles or try and move it. Hate to dump another $170. I just boug it used so luckily I didn't pay full price, but still.....
