Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z6i 2,5-15x56 or 3-19x50 ?

Re: Swarovski Z6i 2,5-15x56 or 3-19x50 ?

I have a 2-12x50 Z6, And a 2.5-15x56 Z6i. They are both great scope's. Mine are used for hunting and some target shooting. The 3-18 seem nice but I have not been around one very much. I really like the 2.5-15x56.

I have been wondering some of the same things. I like the info on the Z6i. Was wondering how the low light quality of the optics would compare to S&B. I have a zenith 2.5 x 10 x 56 and like it alot. Was looking at the 2.5 x 15 x 56 for my new 7mm wsm. For the cost of the z6i I can almost get a S&B PM2. The 56 should gather more light than the 50.

You should seriously consider the new Zeiss Victory FL 4-16x50 or 6-24x56. Both Zeiss scopes now have 1cm clicks and they have better turrets with larger adj.range than the Z if you use zero stop. In a side by side comparison my subjective view is that the new Zeiss FL glass is better than Swaro Z-series. The 3-18 Z has .5cm clics. Zeiss is cheaper. The only "downside" on the Zeiss is the lack of daylight illuminated dot in the comparable no.60 reticle.

There is one other major difference, Field of view is great on a Z6 Low power settings plus you have High mag when needed. I own a Zeiss victory Great scope, But I prefer the Z6 in every aspect. My next Z6's won't be illuminated. They are more than clear enough to see the reticule in low light shooting conditions.

Thanks for the inputs

I´m leaning towards the Z6i 2,5-15x56 vith BT and illuminated 4A reticle

I´m planning on putting it on a 700 XCR 20", only concern is if its gonna be huge on that rifte with the x56.
planning on mounting it on a picatinny rail 0 MOA with Leupo QRW rings.

Don't worry about mounting you can still get pretty low.

Re: Swarovski Z6i 2,5-15x56 or 3-19x50 ?

Have used the 2x12 for several hunting seasons. To me the best part of the scope is the low end range (deep timber, short range, with enough for a 300 yd if occasion arises) not the high, which is beat by other makers not the least of which is the zeiss, which also has better turrets and clarity at longer ranges. (the 2x12 doesn't have AO). Its a great hunting scope but to do over I'd have gotten the next lower, a 1.5x10 I think.

I bet they would.

anybody got any experience on the BT on the Z6i ?

Opticsspecialist:
how would you suggest the mount? I am planning on a 0 MOA rail and leupold QRW rings. any comments on that anyone?

thanks again for the replies

Re: Swarovski Z6i 2,5-15x56 or 3-19x50 ?

Nice youtube stream.

Question: Will I be OK with the Z6i 2,5-15x56 with BT for shooting out to about 500-600 yards with 308 Win

It seems on the video there is only 46 click elevation???
that would take me to about 350yards with 308W ?

Re: Swarovski Z6i 2,5-15x56 or 3-19x50 ?

Thanks again

second rifle I ever buy, first one about 20 years ago, so getting excited about it, awaiting the permid.

I dont think the Talley and nightforce rings are easy to get by overhere....

Am I gonna get a good low mount on the 2,5-15 with 0 MOA and the leupo QRW rings?

Is it gonna be too huge with x56 or do you think the 20" XRC can hold it?

Thanks
