Little confused here, I am running an SWFA 6x, and the website claims that the turrets are 1/4 MOA, but when I make adjustments to mine, they seem to be 1/2 MOA. Which has me a little confused...

Can you explain why they seem like 1/2 ?? That seems to big of a margin for error. Unless they have a bin of different thread count erectors next to them when they are assembled at the factory.

Target: five 1" cherry poppers (1 shot each), one 1.5" circle for a 3 round group.
Range ~120 yards

Changed charge, and ball, so I was shooting to rezero with new load.

Shot the 5 poppers, went to check target, and all shots were approx 2 inches high, 1 inch left. So I go back to make adjustments (8 down, 4 right). Reshoot the sequence. End up 2 inches low, 1 inch right... making me think that if the turrets were 1/2 MOA since the strikes were double my adjustment.

Grouping target was not measured, but all shots touching (no time to throw the calipers on it before work).

Normally I would just say damn, I suck... but the consistency of my shots (all about the same amount high, and then the same amount low) made me wonder what value the turret clicks were set at. Didn't see it in my paperwork.

Re: SWFA 6x, 1/2 or 1/4 MOA?

I am more than willing to believe that it is my fault. The only reason I even asked was because all of the other scopes that I have handled have had their adjustments marked on the tube or under the turret caps. The only thing I have to go by for this glass is the specs from swfa.com

I am just trying to verify that they are the right specs, before I go chasing down an error that I have gotten consistently.
